One of this years FAVORITES!

Those of you who know me or have followed my work know that candid and natural is what I am all about, which might seem easy, but often is much easier said then done, simply because for most of us smile and say "cheese" was what picture day was all about, and that can be a very hard habit to break. But to me there is just nothing more beautiful or more enjoyable to photograph than seeing children, families, anyone really just be themselves. I do try to grab a few standard more posed shots when I see a place for them, but for the most part I just tell my clients to have fun, interact naturally and I fall into the background and start shooting. I meet this beautiful family at a quiet park that is one of my favorite spots. I quickly found out this was the first candid session they have ever done, but you would never know it! They immediately started exploring and having a great time. I had a great time photographing them!

Colorado Wedding - Nathan and Aleena

I was so honored to have the privilege of photographing the wedding of Nathan and Aleena in my favorite state - COLORADO! There is nothing I love more than Colorado scenery and fresh mountain air. Thank you Nathan and Aleena for letting me be part of your special day.

Some May Favorites

Charlotte

This sweet baby girl came to see me at the end of March when she was only 2 weeks old.

I always encourage parents to schedule their newborn session as soon as possible after they are born. It is amazing to look back and remember how tiny their feet were and how they fit in your hands. Clients are constantly telling me that they cannot believe at four weeks how much different they look than they did at one or two weeks when their newborn pictures were taken.

You can also have your photographs designed to be custom birth announcements.

Sisters

These two beautiful girls are the daughters of two of my dearest friends. When the Bradford Pear trees started to bloom this year, I knew that they would make the perfect backdrop for these two.

Tired Little Ballerina

Being beautiful is hard work!

You might recognize her, I took her picture a year ago and her mom thought it would be fun to take her picture in this tutu every year, it is neat to see the comparison side by side.

Tim and Andrea Engagement

I took engagement photos of Tim and Andrea in March and we had such a blast! They are both so easy to photograph, we went all over the place and I ended up taking over 500 pictures of them!!!! Yes you read that right - 544 to be exact - and they are all awesome, I can't wait to photograph their wedding in a couple of weeks. I can't fit all of them on here, but here are some of my favorites!

March 4 - Sweet little Ava

March 2

I fell in love with this series of pictures of this little boy. He is one of my baby planners and he is absolutely adorable. It was so fun to watch him interact with his little monkey pal.

How cute is he! I have been taking pictures of this adorable little guy technically since before he was born, he has a great personality and the cutest dimples I have ever seen.

2008 Art Experience

2008 started with a bang! January had babies, weddings, an awesome workshop in California, followed by Las Vegas and Hawaii during the first two weeks of February. The weekend after I returned from Hawaii, my son's school had its annual Art Experience. I had the honor of being able to participate this year, one of the projects I did was a hand mosaic that was made up of headshots of students from the school, with the background image being a picture of four children's hands. I was really happy with how it turned out and even happier that it raised $1300!

Aloha!

I have the BEST job in the world! February 10-15th I had the amazing opportunity of doing some work in Hawaii! I was hired to
take some photos on the Island of Oahu for Massage Wellness. Alicia Kerr, the owner, is from Aiea. She wanted some photographs for her new location that would give her clients a taste of Hawaii. Here are some of the photos I took there, you can also view them in print at Massage Wellness in Lowell... you can get a fabulous massage while you are there too!

I love Canadians!!!

I met this hilarious group of Canadian girls while I was in Vegas in February.

They saw me with my camera and asked who I was there to photograph and then asked if
I would take a picture of them. Of course I said yes! They were so sweet they bought drinks for
my friend and I and then took us on a tour of the Bellagio as they searched for the fabulous VIP room, which I hear they found and were able to sneak into shortly after we gave up and went back to our hotel!

Welcome to my new Blog!!!

I am so excited about my new blog! I loved my old custom blog, but this one offers a more friendly interface (which hopefully will result in more frequent posts :) ) You can also view other peoples comments, and more easily post comments yourself, so feel free to give me some blog love!

Also stay tuned for something new that I would like to call Monday Madness. One Monday a month I will be giving away some awesome prizes. Mostly photos but some other cool stuff as well!
